This page will focus on the marketing of the remake (i.e. posters, stills etc when they become available)

The stills below were the first three officially released by Warner Bros. (big thanks to Dave Harris for the heads up on the lower 2, and also Kathy Colby for supplying the lower one)

Warner Bros had earlier started promotion of the movie a few months ago. Guests at the Showest exhibition in Las Vegas (where Clooney, Damon etc. made an unscheduled appearance) were given a black velvet bag (pictured below) containing a deck of cards, 2 poker chips, and 2 dice. This features the provisional (and possibly final) logo artwork for the movie.
In a similar vein to the above, there was a batch of numbered baseball caps made up with the Warners logo on front and O11 logo on back. These were crew items and apparently limited to a batch of 36. T-Shirts which are claimed to be crew items have shown up on Ebay recently.
The press kits given out to journalists in mid-November comprised the normal production notes and stills, but also included the soundtrack CD, and an O11 logo cap, all held in a duffle bag, again with the O11 logo. A few of these have now appeared on Ebay
As far as semi-official merchandise from the movie is concerned, click here (updated link) for an item that initially had "Ocean's 11" in it's description but has gone a bit more low-key of late
A tie-in novel written by Dewey Gram was released on the 7th of November. The book has the following blurb advertising it which differs from the taglines for the final poster...
ONE EXPLOSIVE PLAN:
Ex-con Danny Ocean has hatched a plot to rip off three of Vegas's biggest casinos...
ONE EXPERT TEAM:
He's counting on the greatest team of con men in the world...
ONE INCREDIBLE HEIST:
If they pull it off, they can take in over 150 million dollars...
ONE SMALL PROBLEM:
Danny's shady former wife, his biggest-and sexiest-gamble...
The US release date was the 7th of December. The movie's premiere was initially going to take place in Vegas but was changed to LA. Las Vegas was where the original also premiered but this time it was going to be at the Bellagio on the 5th of December. Four tickets to the event were recently sold at a Vegas charity auction for $25000, and 1960 O11 star Angie Dickinson was going to be the winner's hostess for the night. I've made enquiries direct to the Bellagio in the past and been advised that the premiere was by "invitation only"
Test screenings were made in Scottsdale Arizona of a very early rough cut of the movie. It was greeted by generally enthusiastic reviews despite at the time being very much a work-in-progress. See the reviews page for more info
Four URL's for official Warner Bros. sites are listed below. The 2nd one is now the main site mentioned previously. The others have been registered by Warners, more than likely to avoid them being used commercially
