The poster artwork for the US was by Saul Bass who was a highly respected graphic designer in his time. He worked with Otto Preminger not only on the poster artwork but also the opening credits sequences for a lot of his films. The Bunny Lake credit sequence by Bass is simple in it's execution as images are torn at as though they were paper to reveal the credit names. Bass also worked extensively with Alfred Hitchcock on the credits for Psycho, North By Northwest, and Vertigo (additionally contributing the famous orange and white spiral artwork for the latter). The non-US posters relied on other's artwork and focused in many cases on the fact that the film was very much a "whodunnit"
